When looking for turntables to mix and scratch with, Technics is always the first brand DJs look for. The SL-1200 (and all the iterations of it) are widely seen as the only turntable worth mixing on due to their strength and quality.
Although Technics discontinued the 1200s in recent years, they are still highly sought after. Because of this fact, some companies manage to refurbish an amount of Technics turntables and pass them on to retailers for sale.
