Modular Synth
Synthesizers (often abbreviated to Synth) are electronic musical instruments used to create organic digital sounds.
You can find Synths in a range of sizes, shapes, and configurations. Featuring the ability to patch your instruments into one another for increased manipulation and sound modeling. Synths were most prominent in disco during the '70s and '80s. Remaining a great tool for expressive live performances and unique studio applications.
The modular synth or synthesizer is a type of synthesizer existing in both physical and virtual forms with separate specialized modules. Usually connected with patch cords or switches to create a patch, outputting audio signals, control voltages or logic/timing conditions. Also featuring knobs and faders for tweaking and altering your sound.
Typical modules include oscillators (operate on frequency), filters (spectrum), amplifiers/gates (amplitude) and Envelope generators (dynamic control). A great addition to your studio setup.
