Korg MW-1608 SoundLink

The Korg MW-1608 SoundLink is a 16-channel hybrid Analog/Digital mixer that makes creative mixing easy. Giving you analogs instant control over live mixing emergencies as well as stunning sound quality. Not to mention being even more musician-friendly than competitors. All while giving you the power of high-quality digital where it counts.

Designed with mixer design legends Greg Mackie and Peter Watts

Designed in collaboration with mixer design legends Greg Mackie and Peter Watts; the MW-1608 Soundlink looks just like conventional mixers. While sporting a number of features that make you think “why don’t other mixers have that?”  Boasting new HiVolt microphone preamps, the MW-1608 actually delivers on the “low noise, high headroom” claim made by competitor mixers.

What’s more, Peter Watts brings the same rich, warm preamp, EQ and dynamics quality to the MW-1608 that you’d see on the legendary Trident mixing console. Designed by practical musicians, the MW-1608 is also the only small mixer that supports Mute Groups. Allowing you to instantly call up different combinations of channels for different on stage needs. Giving you four Group options that are al easily programmable and recallable.

MW-1608 – Designed for practical musicians

If you’re like some musicians, you might want to hear more of your own instrument or voice in your monitors. Something that’s a complicated process on other mixers, the MW-1608 Soundlink makes easy. Offering a Musicians Phone feature that provides one-knob boosts of the complete left/right mix into the musician’s individual track. So instead of having to change main mix settings or take up a bus. You’ve got dedicated knobs for two Musicians “more me” monitor mixes.

Powerful KORG Effects

Not only does the MW-1608 Soundlink give you onboard effects; SoundLink mixers use high-quality proprietary Korg custom chips. Building on Korgs multi-decade expertise and featuring 24 ultra-realistic digital effects. While all 6 reverb effects include an alternate WARM version, something that you’ll find incredibly useful. On top of that, all effects parameters can be tweaked, saved, recalled, and activated by an optional footswitch. You’ll also get test tone generators to use within the built-in 24-band Spectrum Analyzer; yet another SoundLink exclusive for a mixer in this price range.

Finally, the Korg MW-1608 Soundlink features rack-mound studio-grade DSP that you can reach easily. All without having to dig deep scrolling through menus to find features you need. Including a row of assignable buttons for EQ and Dynamics that are both effective without being harsh or exaggerated. Also coupled with a 31-band spectrum analyzer, the MW-1608’s 31-band/9-band ParaGraphic EQ solves problems your traditional small mixer couldn’t handle.

SoundLink also available in a 24-channel version.
