Behringer 2600 Semi Modular Analog Synth
True to the original, the Behringer 2600 gives you a Semi-Modular Analog Synth that recreates the classic tones of electronic music. Thanks to highly focused attention to detail, the 2600 offers ultra-flexible sound shaping capabilities. Allowing you to cover endless tones from super-fat bass, tasty leads, and dreamy ambience.
Big, Fat Tones
The synthesizer tracks from the 70’s and 80’s have gone on to become classics. Today, the 2600 gives you everything you need to recreate the magic. Or alternatively, design your own incredible and original sounds that make you a legend in your own right.
Ready to Rock
Just like the original, the 2600 sem-modular synth lets you make music without having to patch into different modules. While the 83 patch cable ins and outs let you configure it exactly how you want.
Make Waves
What’s more, the 2600 features 3 VCO’s with FM inputs. Even allowing you to patch the VCO’s default waveforms to square, triangle, saw, sine, or pulse. So you have an awe-inspiring palette of tonal possibilities. You can also switch any of the VCO’s to operate as a low-frequency oscillator. While the multi-mode VCF acts as the VCO mixer of the 2600.
Combined with its integrated resonance control, filter mode switch, as well as the ability to output to other areas; the 2600 is a fantastic and flexible tool that’s sure to blow away your audience.
The Cherry on Top
With an already massive array of waveofrms and mixing capabilities; the 2600 also gives you a range of modules and effects at your disposal. Including a ring modulator, lag processor, sample and hold, Schmitt trigger, envelope follower, noise generator, and realistic sounding reverb. So you can add spaciousness as well as a sense of scale to your music. There’s even 2 dedicated LFO’s with pulse and sine wave outputs.
Time to Attack
Thanks to integrated ADSR an AR envelope generators; the 2600 allows you to create some truly dynamic progressions in your songs. Set the Attack, Decay, Sustain, and Release low for short and soft sounding notes. Then, slowly slide the faders up and open your notes to give some tension before the big drop!
If that’s not enough, you can get even more creative by flipping the Time Factor switch.
Shape Your Tone
The VCA section of the 2600 gives you even more tone-shaping possibilities that you can blend into the Mixer section. Set the initial gain of the circuit and route signals to any one of the input jacks. Then, adjust the gain using the sliders. There’s also differential inputs for both linear and exponential response. Accepting control voltage signals via 3.5mm jacks.
Controls and Connectivity
Finally, if you want the numbers; the 2600 sports 78 faders and buttons. All laid out in a highly intuitive format putting the joy back into your music.
