Behringer VC340 Analog Vocoder

Behringer VC340 Analog Vocoder will bring the nostalgia of the 70’s & 80’s to your productions, at game-changing affordability, & no compromise on quality. The VC340 Analog Vocoder a powerful unit with a footprint that will fit on your desk. The 37 key beast of a synth is capable of soaring analog synth strings, rich synthesized choral effects, and the most iconic Vocoder Effect that helped shape an entire era of music culture. Behringer has managed to produce some excellent synths of late, the Deepmind12 a Juno8 clone Model D a Minimoog have produced amazing results already & the series of classic synths to come is both scandalous and really exciting!  The VC340 is the latest installment & once again Behringer has done a fantastic job of melding the old and the new.

Behringer has produced a formidable vocoder and string machine for the modern day musician, based on the highly regarded VP330+, the recreation of the classic vocoder has a level of authenticity that will be familiar, and easy to use. Creating awe-inspiring talking-synth sounds or huge string sections and multi-chorus pads is an easy task with the VC340. This niece sound is instantly recognizable and classic, made famous by many multi-platinum artists. Some that have credited the vocoder for it unusual timbre and texture including Kraftwerk, Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, and more. The sound of the vocoder became a staple in major motion pictures and video games for its ability to create robot voices and special audio effects.

Behringer has toed the line of authentic & the modern, with the VC340 remaining classic yet offering the flexibility that the modern day requires. Its assignable layered/split string and choir sounds with analog bucket-brigade chorus explode into Vangelis analog goodness and modern EDM fare. And by plugging in a standard dynamic mic, The VC340 rewards you with timeless Moroder/Daft Punkian vocoder effects and creative modulation over any analog signal. despite being an octave shorter for a desk-friendlier footprint the VC340’s 37-keys are extremely playable & expressive, plus, portability wise, travel is light & easy.

Wood side panels and hands-on controls give the Vocoder VC340 all the character of your favorite retro synth. The Behringer VC340 Analog Vocoder offers a musical experience that has to be experienced to be believed.

Unlike the classic vocoders, you can use your favourite XLR mic with the VC340 Analog Vocoder. You can mix a variety of signals with various human voices (male, female, and ensemble) as well as mix in a dedicated string section. The ensemble features a super-extensive chorus, which uses an analog BBD delay circuit. Other notable features include vibrato, pitch shifting, keyboard splits, and more.

The rear panel hosts several connectors including microphone inputs and a 1/4″ external synth input, as well as mono and stereo 1/4″ outputs. Other control inputs include a Vocoder Hold footswitch and a Pitch footswitch, which allow for hands-free operation. Freely explore unusual routing and timbres using non-vocal modulators. For instance, use a bass synthesizer through the Ext Synth In input, while routing a drum-loop through the Mic input to create a wildly synthetic bassline. The Behringer Vocoder VC340 utilizes an integrated auto-switching power supply and ships with a standard IEC power cord.
