Connectivity
The Volt 476 delivers superior studio sound quality with 24-bit/192 kHz audio conversion and offers more character and tone than any USB interface in its class. It offers 2 x XLR/TRS combo input for instruments and microphones and can provide 48V phantom power. You can connect either a microphone or instrument to each input. The phantom power will deliver a power current to a connected microphone. Only certain types of microphones, like condenser microphones, require phantom power.
Volt 476 also provides you with 4x Line Outputs and 2x Line Inputs. Line Outputs are 4x balanced analogue line outputs on ¼” jack sockets. You can use TRS jacks for a balanced connection or TS jacks for unbalanced. Line Outputs 1 and 2, 3 and 4 can be used for connecting additional line-level equipment (e.g., outboard FX processors). 2x Line inputs provide balanced analogue line inputs for Channels 3 and 4, on ¼” TRS jack sockets. Connect further line-level signals here using ¼” TRS (balanced) or TS (unbalanced) jack plugs.
Volt 476 features both MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connections. MIDI IN allows you to connect MIDI devices to this jack using a standard 5-pin MIDI cable. This means that you can trigger and control software instruments and effects by connecting devices into this input. MIDI Out is essentially a MIDI output that allows you to output MIDI data from your computer to control other MIDI-compatible hardware devices.
You can also connect your favourite headphones to the 1/4” stereo headphone output. The headphone Volume adjusts the volume of the headphone output.
