The TC Electronic Plethora X5 allows you to create a bunch of boards; populate them with any of the TC TonePrint Pedals; as well as load each Pedal with any TonePrint from the TC library, or create your own!
Straight out of the box, Plethora gives you a whole bunch of tasty premade boards that are ready to go. But if you already have a specific idea of what you need, you can also choose exactly which pedals go where on your board. Alternatively, go all-in and get your hands dirty using TonePrint technology. Allowing you to customize each pedal in-depth for a completely unique setup.

On top of that, each pedal in the Plethora X5 has 75 TonePrint slots available to quickly recall your favourite settings. So you’re able to collate and store a list of your favourite sounds for safe-keeping.
BYOD (Bring Your Own Drive)
Drive Pedals are at the heart of building your own tone. They’re integral to the kind of guitarist you want to be, and form part of your identity as an extension of yourself through your amp! With Plethora X5’s FX insert loop you can add your preferred flavour of gain anywhere on the board you like. You can aso use the insert for 4-cable method setup with your amplifier. Letting you choose which effects go in front of your amps input and which effects live in your effects loop.
MASH To Perfection
Fitted with 5 groundbreaking MASH footswitches, Plethora provides expression in the form of volume swells, modulation ramping, fluid mix control, and so much more. While each MASH switch can control up to 3 effect parameters simultaneously through completely customizable action curves. Your “always-on” effects suddenly grew a whole new dimension.
LOOP ‘D’ LOOP
There’s no better way to practice your timing and phrasing than with a phrase looper. The Tape Deck Looper is a RAM based looper you’ll find exclusive to Plethora X5. Featuring record and playback times of 40 seconds stereo and 80 seconds mono; you’ll have more than enough reel to lay down dirty loops. Load up to 5 of these bad boys into a BOARD and position them anywhere in the signal chain.
HOT KNOBZ
Hot Knobz let you assign the 3 black knobs on the Plethora X5 to simultaneously control and pedal parameters on your BOARD. Allowing real-time tweaking in PLAY mode and the ability to touch and feel your effects.
Plethora X5 – Expression On The Side
Finally, the Plethora X5 features an EXP input to hook up your favorite expression pedal. So you can control any effect you like or add an extremely useful volume pedal, anywhere in the board’s signal chain.
