RME Digiface Ravenna 256-Channel 192 kHz USB Audio Interface
The RME Digiface Ravenna is a lightweight, portable audio interface, based on the proven Digiface Dante equipped with a RAVENNA module developed by DirectOut. It features everything that RME is famous for: USB 3, MADI, TotalMix FX and outstanding options in both USB and stand-alone operation.
Mobile RAVENNA Solution via USB
The combination of RME’s renowned drivers (Mac/Windows) and DirectOut’s RAVENNA implementation offers a reliable and flexible networked computer audio interface. Equipped with the latest TotalMix FX it can not only route but also mix as many independent submixes as outputs are available.
The included high-quality phono output offers a quick listen to any audio channel, but can also be used as line output to provide an additional analog stereo mixdown.
RAVENNA & MADI
RME made the two BNC sockets for word clock I/O switchable to MADI I/O, with up to 64 channels. The total sum of Ravenna and MADI, 128 channels, are transferred via USB 3.0 and handled via the included RAVENNA web server or RME’s TotalMix FX, for full and struggle-free control of all audio.
On the network side, the interface features a full-fledged RAVENNA stack with AES67 and ST2110-30/31 support and redundant audio-over-IP streaming as per ST2022-7. In addition, the interface can also be used as a mobile 64-channel RAVENNA/MADI converter without a USB connection to a computer. The coaxial MADI I/O connectors may also be configured to work as word clock sync I/O.
TotalMix FX and TotalMix Remote
Like all the latest RME interfaces, the Digiface Series also includes the powerful digital real-time mixer TotalMix FX. It allows for practically unlimited mixing and routing operations, with all inputs and playback channels simultaneously, to any hardware outputs.
The Digiface Series includes a dedicated Control Room section with Talkback, Main/Phones, fader groups, mute groups, complete remote controllability via Mackie or OSC protocol, and much more. The Digiface Series does not support DSP based effects (FX) like EQ or reverb.
Additionally, RME’s latest software, TotalMix Remote, enhances the power of RME interfaces by enabling remote control via iOS, PC or Mac. With a straightforward set up process — simply enter the IP address of the computer you would like to control with TotalMix Remote and get going.
Users can quickly adjust any aspect of TotalMix FX on a host system while walking around the studio with their tablet. Otherwise, use it from a control room located elsewhere in the facility.
TotalMix FX – Mixing/Routing with superior features for Studio and Live Work
Since 2001 TotalMix added unlimited routing and mixing to RME‘s audio interfaces. Its unique capability to create as many independent submixes as output channels available turned it into the most flexible and powerful mixer of its kind.
RME USB – Transport audio with the lowest latency and industry-leading stability
Use your RME audio interface on Mac and PC with reliable, stable, and regularly updated drivers for our products. RME Audio develops its own interface core, it’s not dependent on 3rd parties for upgrades, modifications or bug fixes. Customers can use the latest operating systems without interruption or delay.
