Pioneer DJ DJM-A9 4-Channel Professional DJ Mixer
The 4-channel Pioneer DJ DJM-A9 raises the bar for club standard mixers. It boasts huge upgrades compared to its predecessor, the DJM-900NXS2. It has stunningly clear sound quality, enhanced playability and connectivity. Also, it has a host of new features to help you take your performances to the next level.
The DJM-A9 has also been improved as a musical instrument for more emotional and dynamic performances. However, it retains the functions and layout that have become club standards.
Stunning Clear Sound Quality
The next-generation club sound of the Pioneer DJ DJM-A9 comes from extensive development. Afterwards, fine-tuning of existing technology from previous units, plus brand-new components completes this mixer.
The channel input section is equipped with an ESS Technology 32-bit high-quality A/D converter for crystal-clear, high-resolution sound. Also, the master and booth output sections employ 32-bit high-quality D/A converters. That way you can experience sound from the booth monitors that’s the same as the crowd hears.
Even the sound quality of the microphone input and headphone outputs has been improved. It’s been done so with carefully selected new parts and design optimisation.
DJM-A9’s Evolved Playability
Increased spacing around the EQ knobs gives you room to twist your fingers. Also, high-grade LEDs in the channel section make it easy to get a visual grasp of sound levels. You can perform more dynamically than ever thanks to the frequency response of the isolators. They have been optimised to make the most of the latest music production traits.

Sound Color FX with World’s First Center Lock Knob
Use the Center Lock feature when you’re using the popular Sound Color FX. Specifically, each knob will stop turning when you reach the centre position. Twist the knob as quickly as you like, taking the effect right up to the maximum. Whether it be the high, or down to the minimum of the low parameter.
Do so without the risk of going too far and switching to the opposite parameter. When you turn the Center Lock off, the Sound Color FX knobs work in the same way as those on the DJM-900NXS2.
Newly Advanced Beat FX
A new colour display on the DJM-A9 helps you to quickly and accurately understand the status of the selected effect. Furthermore, it features lighting that corresponds with the X-Pad’s horizontal arrangement, enabling more intuitive control with a simple finger slide.
You can use the X-Pad to change the Echo and Ping Pong effects to create a unique analog tape-style sound. Also, within the 14 total Beat FX, there are 3 new ones (Mobius, Triplet Filter, and Triplet Roll). You can use them to add extra variation to your performances. Even better, the channel selector is now a dedicated button, quickly apply effects to your chosen channel.
Enhanced Mic Section
The phantom-powered input on the DJM-A9 means you can connect a high-quality condenser mic directly to the DJM-A9. There are 3 new microphone effects (Echo, Pitch, Megaphone) with a dedicated reverb effect. Therefore, you can change the sound of your voice and hype up the crowd.
It’s quick and easy to turn the mic input on or off with the brand-new Push To Talk button. The audio from the mic can be excluded from the recording output. You can MC for the live crowd but record your mix without vocals.
DJM-A9’s Expanded Connectivity
Connect 2 different PC/Mac systems at the same time thanks to the dual USB Type-B and USB Type-C ports (there are 2 of each) for seamless transitions between DJs and easy back-to-back sets.
And, thanks to a Bluetooth® input which you can route to any channel on the DJM-A9, you can wirelessly drop audio tracks into your sets from other devices such as smartphones and use all the mixer’s features and effects to change the sound.
The Multi I/O section has an independent channel selector. Use external effects separately from Beat FX, giving the DJM-A9 true send capabilities. This means you can route the affected sound from an external unit such as an RMX-1000 or a delay pedal to a separate channel instead of the channel it came from.
Dual Independent Headphone Outputs and Booth EQ
Plug in your headphones at the same time as another DJ and enjoy the freedom to monitor the channels you want to. With separate cue buttons, volume knobs, and mix balance knobs for each set of headphones, it’s easy for 2 DJs to cue up tracks during changeovers and back-to-back sets.
Plus, with the 2-band booth EQ, you can change the high and low frequencies to complement the master output and match the mood in the booth to the feeling on the dancefloor.
Support for the Brand-New Stagehand App and Built-In Sound Check Function
The DJM-A9 is compatible with Stagehand, the industry-first PRO DJ LINK remote management app for front-of-house teams.
Using an iPad connected wirelessly to the mixer via a LAN router (available separately), an engineer can keep an eye on things such as level meters and the DJ’s use of the mixer’s controls, making it easier to maximize the sound system’s settings and run a smoother, more impactful show without needing to interrupt the DJ’s performance or even enter the booth. The new MPU is the first of its kind in a CDJ. Driving the unit while delivering stable, smooth performance and a number of advanced features.
For example, tracks and Hot Cues will load faster than ever thanks to the extremely high capabilities of the MPU and Gigabit Ethernet connection. The CDJ-3000 is also a Rekordbox Hardware Unlock device too. So all you need to do is update to the latest version of the software to start using Performance mode (free subscription included).
The CDJ-3000 also boasts a brand-new 96kHz/32-bit DAC audio design that means the crowd will hear your tracks and every nuance of your performance.
9-Inch Touch Screen
But you won’t just hear the improvements on the CDJ-3000, you’ll see them too. Choose the information you want to view in laser-sharp detail thanks to the 9-inch touch screen. Bigger, more intuitive, and higher resolution than that of the CDJ-2000NXS2.
Screen brightness has also been improved more than 150% to improve visibility in dark and difficult environments.
Then, add in a number of handy controls that make it easier to jump between your music collection. As well as new functions such as Touch Preview, Touch Cue, Stacked Waveform, and 3Band Waveform. So you’ll always know where the perfect mix points are on both the track you’re playing and what’s cued up next.
8 Hot Cue Buttons
Twice as many as the CDJ-2000NXS2, the CDJ-3000 gives you 8 hot cue buttons that allow you to make new music on the fly. They’ve also been moved directly under the waveform display for even more intuitive cue tiggering.
Operate Beat Jump using the new hardware buttons then hit Key Sync to mix harmonically. You can also create a much wider range of loops using the new 8-Beat Loop button in addition to the classic 4-Beat control.
Re-Designed Jog Wheel
Feeling is so important when you’re a DJ. Whether you’re making a tiny adjustment or performing an intricate scratch routine.
The Jog Wheel on the Pioneer CDJ-3000 has been redesigned to give you the smoothest action you’ve ver seen. Touch latency has also been massively improved while the LCD screen in the centre of the jog allows you to keep an eye on the playhead position. Not to mention, you’ll also be able to see and reference the album artwork directly on the Jog Wheel. Adding even more aesthetic to an already gorgeous piece of gear!
Pro DJ Link with Gigabit Ethernet
Thanks to the Gigabit Ethernet connection for Pro DJ Link, you can share and play audio files from USB and SD on up to 6 CDJ-3000 units when combined with the DJM-V10 6 Channel Mixer.
You’ll also find enhanced lighting support that lets you sync your sounds to your lights. The CDJ-3000 sends phrase analysis information to RekordBox. Allowing you to control your lighting effects via the RB-DMX1 and take your show to the next level.
