Korg Prologue 49-Key
The Korg Prologue 49-Key is a fully-programmable, full-featured, 8-Voice polyphonic synthesizer. Preceding the four-voice polyphonic minilogue, and the monophonic monologue, the Prologue makes its long-awaited debut. Equipped with a 49-key keyboard, this analog synthesizer takes analog circuits directly from earlier models. Then, adds a newly developed multi-engine. As a result, you’ll enjoy gorgeous DSP-based effects while expanding the variety of sounds and possibilities for customization.
Korg Prologue Updated analog filter with drive and gain compensation
Additionally, the Korg Prologue sports an all-new filter design. Featuring a dedicated drive circuit for adding harmonic richness, and a low-frequency compensation switch for powerful bass. Giving you an ultra-smooth sound. Heavy overdrive can often rob a signal of its bass impact, with the Korg Prologue, you can add sizzling distortion while keeping your low-end rock solid.
Four voice modes for creative performance options
Not only does the Prologue 49-Key offer impressive polyphonic appeal. You can also choose monophonic voice operation for playing classic lead and bass lines. While unison mode operates as an all-unison mono synth, and chord mode produces entire chords with the single press of a key. So whether you’re looking for musical inspiration, or getting ready for a live show. The Korg Prologue 49-keys flexible voice mode offers massive creative potential.
Single- and dual-timbre modes
Like many Korg synths, the Prologue offers multiple ways for creating custom patches. In addition to single-timbre mode, the Prologue features three dual-timbre modes for combining sounds. While the Split mode allows you to assign two different sounds to two different sections of the keyboard. Then Layer mode allows you to play two sounds simultaneously across your entire keyboard. Finally, the Crossfade mode gives you even more performance potential. Essentially combining both modes to create a smooth sonic transition between zones on your keyboard.
