Dave Smith Instruments Sequential Fourm 4-Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer
Experience the nuance of classic Sequential tone reborn in a sleek, portable form. The Sequential Fourm blends the revered Prophet-5 voice architecture with a new Tactive™ 37-note slim-key keybed. It adds expressive polyphonic aftertouch, giving musicians an unmatched level of control in a compact analog powerhouse.
Legendary Sequential Analog Tone
At its heart, the Fourm carries four fully discrete analog voices inspired by the iconic Prophet-5. Each voice features two VCOs with selectable waveforms and hard-sync for sharp, focused leads. Meanwhile, the genuine 4-pole low-pass filter adds the warmth and punch defining the Sequential sound. You can push the filter into feedback for rich harmonics, while white, pink, or violet noise layers extra character into your tone.
A New Fourm of Expression
The Tactive™ keybed reintroduces polyphonic aftertouch to the Sequential family for the first time in forty years. Each key can independently affect parameters such as oscillator pitch, filter cutoff, amplitude, or LFO rate. This means you can shape vibrato on one note and filter movement on another—simultaneously. Moreover, features like per-voice glide, vintage voice variance, and unison stacking open endless possibilities for dynamic performance.
Performance Powerhouse
Drawing inspiration from the Pro-One, the intuitive modulation matrix offers two buses that can merge at any destination for complex sound design. Additionally, the tempo-syncable arpeggiator includes six modes, re-latching and variable octave ranges. The 64-step polyphonic sequencer can also serve as a modulation source with ties, rests, and smooth acid-style glide.
