Preferably some type of microphone that is suitable for studio-quality sound and even at extremely high sound pressure levels with ultra-low noise floor. Premium Microphone for Drums and Low-End Instruments

The C112 dynamic microphone offers a strong low-frequency response. As a result, it is specifically tailored for bass frequency applications. This means that you can use the C112 with kick drums, bass drums, bass guitar, cabinets and brass instruments. In fact, any instrument that requires low-end capture such as other traditional low-frequency applications including a piano.

It features a metal diecast construction that will withstand the rigours of all drumming sessions. It also includes an integrated microphone mount that you can use for precise positioning. This means that you are able to position the mic just inside the kick drum opening and capture more weight and less attack. Just point it towards the beater and you will capture the attack as you needed. By simply adjusting the C112 you can aim the mic directly at the beater for more attack, or towards the far edge of the drum for a more resonant tone. This way you can capture the best of both worlds.

The C112 will provide you with a frequency response of between 50Hz to 14kHz and a max SPL of 150db. The Super-cardioid Uni-directional polar pattern provides an outstanding sound source separation and unsurpassed audio quality. And because it is a dynamic microphone it doesn’t require phantom power to operate. It further offers a gold-plated 3-pin XLR output connector which will preserve the highest signal integrity.

The C112 also ships with a high-quality carry case for extra convenience and portability. This means that you can take it anywhere to record your drums and bass instruments when the muse inspires you. It also includes a 5/8″ threaded adapter that will match all types of microphone stands.
