Touch Screen Controls
With a colour touchscreen interface, the PodTrak P8 makes monitoring, adjusting and audio editing seamless. With every setting you need only a touch away. Firstly, the Mic Preamp Slider allows you to dial in the desired level of gain for each mic. Make adjustments until the signal is in the perfect range, and avoid any distortion or clipping. There’s also a limiter for preventing distortion if the volume does suddenly get too loud.
On top of that, the Low Cut option reduces low-frequency noise that you’ll find in almost every recording environment. Whether its air conditioning, cars driving past, or vibrations, turning this on can help add that extra finish to your sound. While the Tone Adjustment options allow you to make your voice darker or brighter, so you can find the perfect podcasting voice.
Then you’ve got the compressor/de esser that again allows you to give your voice more presence for the perfect studio sound. Finally, Noise Reduction settings allow you to automatically decrease background noise by automatically turning don the mic levels for tracks not currently in use.

Phone Calls
Want to make calls on air? The PodTrak P8 features a dedicated channel for recording phone calls. It can also be switched to USB mode to record guests straight from your computer. Both of these options include a Mix-Minus feature that works to prevent echo and feedback for the caller.
On Air
Disable a channel’s ON AIR function, and you’ll still hear the tracks through your headphones. But they just wont be recorded or go through the speakers. This is a great feature for when you’re having side conversations or prepping guests during an ad break.
Wireless Connectivity
Using the optional Zoom BTA-2 adapter (sold separately), you can wirelessly connect to your phone to record remote guests
Added Production Value
