DZR315-D – High-power 2000W Class-D amplification
The all-new, highly efficient Class-D amplification module produces “best-in-class” 2000W of power and an impressive 143dB SPL. Specifically, Yamaha has selected amplifiers optimised to match the full range of DZR’s high, mid and low-frequency transducers.
Durable Cabinets
Yamaha’s DZR cabinets are constructed from high-grade, 15mm thick plywood and are painted with an extremely durable, military-grade Polyurea coating. The enclosures of the full-range speakers also feature butterfly joints for added strength and cabinet vibration reduction. Also, a wide flare-shaped port helps to minimize port noise even at very high output levels.
DZR315-D’s Advanced FIR-X Tuning
Moreover, 96kHz DSP processors help focus the substantial power output of the DZR315-D into truly high-resolution sound with super-low latency. Newly developed Advanced FIR-X tuning improves significantly on Yamaha proprietary FIR-X tuning technology and instead utilizes linear phase FIR filters for the crossover network and correct EQ.
Using FIR filters, Yamaha was able to create a smooth frequency response with stunning clarity without phase distortion. Additionally, accurate EQ filtering is also provided for pinpoint adjustment to achieve ideal clarity without signal degradation.
D-Contour with Yamaha DZR315-D
D-CONTOUR is an intelligent multi-band compressor that ensures your DZR’s sound stays consistent and clear no matter how hard you drive them. DZR315-D maintains outstanding clarity and musicality at the highest output levels by constantly monitoring the output of multiple frequency bands and applying the optimum EQ adjustments for each.
Importantly, D-CONTOUR provides two different settings, FOH/MAIN or MONITOR mode, offering more detailed tuning of your sound relative to your PA’s configuration. Specifically, FOH/MAIN mode boosts the lower frequencies to compensate for the low end that is typically missing when speakers are used in suspended applications or mounted on a speaker stand.
Use MONITOR mode for floor monitoring applications. MONITOR Mode tames down problematic low frequencies that can be enhanced by floor reflection. In fact, it smoothes out a wide range of frequencies to deliver the clarity professionals demand from their stage monitors.
Onboard LCD Screen
Easily navigate the variety of DSP functions, load presets, and make adjustments to PEQ, delay, and routing using the LCD Screen on the DZR315-D. Store up to 8 user presets to save your own parameter adjustments. Otherwise, use the optimised dedicated factory presets for using DZR and DXS XLF Series in combination. Furthermore, easily transfer saved settings to a USB flash drive.
The First Dante-Equipped Professional SR Loudspeakers
All DZR speakers and DXS XLF subwoofers come in Dante-equipped “D” models. This enables smart system integration with Yamaha consoles and other Dante devices. Intergrate via the Dante I/O (2 in/2 out) which also features SRC (sample rate conversion) allowing 48kHz device compatibility.
Flexible I/O with Dante
Patching is simplified considerably with Yamaha CL/QL digital mixing consoles from the I/O device display. While TF console users can select “Quick Config” for a surprisingly fast, easy set-up. Combining the Analog I/O with Dante I/O opens up flexible routing and system configuration options. Also, the Dante break-IN and break-OUT functions add even more flexibility by acting as a simple I/O box.
