The Universal Audio Volt 4P Max puts four Tone Shaping Preamps and Max Processing in a bus-powered desktop interface. Its full-colour Smart Display also keeps levels and settings easy to follow. In addition, speaker switching, talkback, and digital inputs make room for bigger sessions.
Shape the Sound at the Source
Each of the four Tone Shaping Preamps offers three character modes: Warmth, Focus, and Shine. As a result, you can give each mic or source its own tone before you record. Max Processing also adds six compression presets for vocals, guitars, and bass. So you can shape dynamics while tracking instead of waiting for the mix.
Keep Sessions Clear and Controlled
The full-colour Smart Display shows inputs, levels, settings, and gain reduction at a glance. Meanwhile, Auto-Gain sets recording levels in seconds, and Clip Protection catches sudden peaks. For monitoring, two headphone outputs share one cue mix. Speaker switching also lets you move between Main and Alt speakers.
Connect a Full Setup
With four mic/line inputs, you can record up to four sources at once. Each channel also has its own +48V phantom power for condenser mics. Furthermore, two front-panel Hi-Z inputs handle guitar and bass. Finally, MIDI In and Out, plus ADAT or S/PDIF optical input, give your studio room to grow.

Built-in loopback blends live sources with computer audio for podcasts, streams, and content. Similarly, the built-in talkback mic makes it easy to talk to performers. Because it is USB bus-powered and class compliant, it works with Mac, Windows, iPad, and iPhone.
