Universal Audio Volt 4 Gen 2 USB Audio Interface (12-in/6-out)
Universal Audio Volt 4 Gen 2 brings hands-on recording control to a 12-in / 6-out USB interface, combining Tone Shaping Preamps, a full-colour Smart Display and expanded connections. Auto-Gain and Clip Protection make it easier to capture clean takes, while included FREE UA Software adds LUNA and a collection of UAD plug-ins and instruments.
Shape the Sound Before You Record
Two Tone Shaping Preamps offer Warmth, Focus and Shine character modes, giving vocals and other sources distinct classic analog mic-preamp tones at the source. With two mic / line inputs, front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs and independent +48V phantom power per channel, Volt 4 Gen 2 keeps essential recording controls close at hand.

The full-colour Smart Display shows inputs, levels and settings with bright visual feedback, while Auto-Gain sets recording levels in seconds. Clip Protection catches unexpected peaks, so you can concentrate on the performance instead of constantly watching the meters. A stereo monitor output and stereo headphone output support listening from tracking through mixing.
Connect a Growing Setup
Alongside its analog inputs and outputs, the interface provides MIDI In and Out for controllers, keyboards and synths. Its ADAT or S/PDIF optical input offers a choice of digital expansion: ADAT supports up to eight channels at 44.1 and 48 kHz, while S/PDIF carries two channels at supported sample rates.
Record at Home or Away
USB bus power and class-compliant operation make setup straightforward with Mac and Windows, plus iPad and iPhone when the stated operating-system, adapter and power requirements are met. Windows systems use the ASIO driver available in the UA Connect app. Built-in loopback also supports podcasting, streaming and content creation.
