The Teenage Engineering TX–6 Portable Mixer brings a six-channel stereo mixer, audio interface, effects, synthesizer and sequencer into a compact, battery-powered unit. Its configurable knob layout keeps the controls you need close at hand, while USB-C connectivity makes it ready for multitrack recording with a DAW.
Compact control for live mixing
Firstly, six stereo input connectors give each channel room for stereo or mono sources. Meanwhile, the configurable knob layout lets you choose between three-band EQ control and other settings. Turn the unit on its side for DJ mode, using channel 1 as a fader to crossfade between channels 5 and 6.
Shape the mix with built-in processing
Moreover, each channel includes a three-band EQ and adjustable compressor, with eight built-in effects adding further colour to a mix. Reverb, chorus, delay, freeze, tape, filter and distortion are included among the available effects. Therefore, giving you practical tools for ambience, transitions and creative sound changes.
Make music and record wherever you work
Beyond mixing, the unit functions as a portable synthesizer and sequencer with four oscillator waveforms and four synthesized drum sounds. Tempo sync keeps sequences aligned, while the USB audio / MIDI interface connects to a DAW for 12-channel multitrack recording. Bluetooth Low Energy also enables wireless control, triggering and sync.
Built for portable setups
A CNC aluminium enclosure, 2K molding, custom-made encoders and faders, and a custom PCB give the mixer a sturdy construction in a 160 g format. The rechargeable battery runs for about 8 hours, while the display’s automatic sleep function and adjustable LED strength support efficient, comfortable use.
