Sennheiser MKE 400
The Sennheiser MKE 400 gives you a compact, highly directional on-camera shotgun microphone. Designed to isolate and enhance the audio for your video, the MKE 400 includes built-in wind protection as well as integrated shock absorption. All while offering even more features to ensure the best possible recordings.
Boasting a three-step sensitivity switch, the MKE 400 has the ability to provide distortion-free sound in any environment. While a switchable low-cut filter focuses your audio on the most essential frequencies for clarity and speech intelligibility. Interchangeable, 3.5mm locking coiled cables also offer compatibility with DSLR/M cameras and mobile devices and a convenient headphone output allows for convenient audio monitoring while recording.
Focus your sound
Featuring a super-cardioid polar pattern with an acoustic interference tube; the MKE 400 provides focus and detail while rejecting unwanted background noise. So it’s ideal for vloggers and videographers for enhancing audio and bringing presence and clarity to your recordings.
Record with confidence
Handheld cameras are susceptible to handling noise. So the MKE 400 features integrated wind protection and shock absorption. Ensuring the cleanest audio recordgins possible while shooting video on the move. Attach the optional furry windshield for maximum wind protection in outdoor environments.
Versatile by design
In the modern world, video recordings are not always confined to one device, and your mic doesn’t have to be either. So that’s why each MKE 400 comes complete with 3.5mm TRS and TRRS locking cables that you can use with DSLR/M cameras and mobile devices.
Adapt to the situation
Poor acoustic environments are practically unavoidable when you’re shooting on location. So that’s why the MKE 400 comes equipped with both a low-cut filter and a 3-step gain sensitivity switch. Just use the low-cut filter to remove that problematic low-frequencty rumble or wind noise and adjust your gain sensitivity to optimize recording levels in any environment.
MKE 400 – Before you start rolling
One of the most important things you can do when recording audio is checking your levels and monitoring your sound. Some cameras have a headphone jack, but not all do. So thankfully, the MKE 400 has a dedicated headphone monitoring output. Allowing you to plug any 3.5mm headphone directly into the MKE 400 and use the integrated volume control to dial in your recordings.
