sE Electronics sE8

The sE Electronics sE8 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone with a hand-made, gold-sputtered cardioid capsule. So whether you’re performing live or recording in the studio, the sE8 will provide you with a balanced, transparent and natural sound. As well as a detailed transient response and extremely low noise. Making it one of the quietest microphones you’ll hear and perfect for recording in quiet situations.

Additionally, the sE8 also has an SPL high enough to handle your drums. While the dynamic range is large enough to suit your piano velocities accurately. Then, giving you even more control over your sound, you also have access to two switchable pre-attenuation pads. One will shave off 10dB of sound, while the other will attenuate 20dB. Perfect if you encounter some particularly loud sound sources during recording. Plus, a switchable low-pass filter allows you to roll off low end at either 80Hz or 160Hz at 6dB per octave.

Housed in an all-metal chasis, your sE8 is built for durability, while also helping to reject interference and noise. With gold-plated, XLR connectors you can be sure to experience signal reliability for long term use. You’ll also get a mic clip, thread adapter and windscreen.
