Roland JP-08 Sound Module
The Roland JP-08 brings the character and hands-on feel of the JUPITER-8 into an ultra-compact sound module. With 36 front-panel controls, four-voice polyphony, extra sound-shaping options and a built-in speaker. It is ready for focused patch creation at home, in the studio or away from the desk.
Classic Control, Compact Format
Rather than hiding its sound engine behind menus, the JP-08 puts 36 original synth parameters directly under your hands. Knobs, sliders, switches and dual ribbon controllers make it easy to shape pitch, modulation, filters and envelopes while experimenting with patches. Its metal front panel keeps the compact layout focused on immediate control.
More Room to Shape Sounds
The Roland Boutique JP-08 sound module retains the feel, sound and user interface of the original JUPITER-8 while adding several new waveforms and an expanded VCO range. Extra LFO waveforms, including TRI and NOISE, plus SIN for VCO-1, give patch creation more directions to explore without changing the familiar architecture.
Ideas Wherever They Start
The 16-step sequencer works as a practical scratchpad for developing patterns without bringing a full setup. It can run without a keyboard, while the ribbon controller lets you preview sounds. Battery operation, USB bus power and a built-in 0.5W mini-speaker make the JP-08 convenient for mobile music making and quick programming.
Build a Larger Voice Count
For players who want more polyphony, Chain Mode lets two JP-08 modules connect through their MIDI ports and function as one 8-voice module. The optional K-25m keyboard unit adds a 25-key velocity-sensitive playing surface, and its three-position adjustment keeps the module controls accessible when docked.
