Radial StageBug SB-2

The Radial StageBug SB-2 gives you a compact passive direct box ideal for bass and keyboards. Small enough to fit inside your instrument case, while also featuring a stereo to mono mix function to save mixer channels.

Boasting a compact design, the StageBug SB-2 begins with a 1/4″ input, with a thru-put to feed to the on-stage amp. Then, connecting to the custom made Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer that matches impedance and balances the signal. Additionally, while using extra high output instruments, you can insert a -15dB pad into the signal path. Allowing you to use the SB-2 with active basses and digital pianos that could potentially overload the input side of the interface. There’s also an innovative stereo-to-mono merge function that provides a convenient way to connect stereo keyboards and computers. All without having to reset the source for mono operation; saving both time and input channels on your PA.

The output on the Radial StageBug SB-2 features an XLR wired to the AES standard with pin-2 hot. Once connected, the SB-2 gives you a smooth warm sound that’s reminiscent of older vintage gear. Thanks to the Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer, the StageBug SB-2 is able to handle extreme signal levels with a natural compression that’s pleasing to the ears. Also helping to eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops by isolating the input from the output. Augmented with a ground lift switch that lifts pin-1 on the XLR, delivering quiet and professional results.

Using the StageBug SB-2 with Acoustic guitar

If you’re an acoustic guitarist, simply plug your guitar into the StageBug SB-2 Passive and it will smooth out the peaks and warm-up your tone. All delivering a classic, vintage vibe. Not to mention, the StageBug SB-2’s compact design makes it perfect for traveling between gigs.

Using the SB-2 with electric bass

Similarly with electric bass; connect your guitar to the StageBug SB02, send the thru signal to your amp, and the output to the PA system. Again, thanks to transformer isolation, the SB-2 eliminates nasty hum and buzz caused by ground loops.

Using the SB-2 with a keyboard

Finally, the Radial StageBug SB-2 is the perfect go-to DI for taking the output of a keyboard and sending it to your PA system. Featuring input and thru jacks that automatically merge the stereo signal to mono; saving channels while the StageBug SB-2 balances the signal and drives distances of 100 meters without any noise!
