Build Confidence with Smart Fader and Smart CFX
Still learning how to move smoothly between tracks? Smart Fader can coordinate the volume, bass and BPM as you move the channel fader or crossfader. It is a helpful way to start making cleaner transitions while you develop your manual mixing skills.
Smart CFX makes effects just as approachable. Turn one control to apply a combination of effects and add energy to a transition, build-up or drop. You can get creative quickly without navigating complicated menus during a set.
Performance Controls for Creative Sets
Each deck includes eight backlit performance pads for hands-on control of features such as Hot Cues, Pad FX, Beat Jump and the Sampler. Trigger cue points, rearrange sections of a track or add one-shot sounds without reaching for your computer!
The DDJ-FLX4 also has a built-in sound card and is class compliant. Simply connect it to a supported computer by USB and start setting up your software without installing a separate audio driver.
Streaming and Microphone Support
Through rekordbox, supported streaming options can include Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, SoundCloud Go+, TIDAL and Spotify. A separate streaming subscription may be required, and service availability can vary by plan, country, device and software version.
Furthermore, a 1/4-inch microphone input also lets you add speech or vocals to your set. The DDJ-FLX4 can mix the microphone signal with your music and send the combined audio over USB, which is useful for compatible live-streaming setups.

What Else Do You Need?
The DDJ-FLX4 is a software controller rather than a standalone DJ system. It needs a compatible computer, phone or tablet running supported DJ software. It does not have a built-in USB drive input.
You will also need wired headphones for cueing and powered speakers or another suitable sound system. The master output uses an unbalanced RCA connection, so DJs who need balanced XLR connections, a booth output or four channels should compare other Pioneer DJ controllers before choosing.
