The DDJ-FLX4 is a software controller that still needs a computer, phone or tablet running compatible DJ software to operate, and it does not have a USB drive input. Does the DDJ-FLX4 work without a laptop?
Yes, as long as you have another compatible device. Besides a Mac or PC, it works with an iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet running rekordbox or djay. It is not a standalone player, though, so it always needs a device running DJ software.
Is rekordbox free with the DDJ-FLX4?
Yes. rekordbox is free to use with the DDJ-FLX4. Some premium or cloud features may need a paid plan, and streaming services require their own subscriptions.
Does the DDJ-FLX4 work with Serato DJ Pro?
Yes. Serato DJ Lite is free, and the controller also supports Serato DJ Pro. A Serato DJ Pro licence or subscription is not included.
Can I DJ with Spotify or other streaming services?
Yes, through rekordbox. It supports Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, SoundCloud Go+, TIDAL and Spotify. Each service requires its own subscription, and availability varies by country.
Does the DDJ-FLX4 include speakers or headphones?
