Orange Crush Bass 50 Combo Amplifier
The Orange Crush Bass 50 Combo Amplifier combines everything you need in a practice rig as well as the tone and features you’d normally only see on the pros. Drawing inspiration from the flagship OB1 and 4 Stroke amplifiers, the Crush 50 brings the defining elements into a compact combo.
Just like the rest of the Crush Bass range, this 50 Watt model offers bold and bunchy lows thanks to its analog circuitry and ported cabinet. While its extremely flexible active EQ section also features a sweepable parametric mid-band. Allowing you to shape your signature sound without limitations. Then for even more versatility, the interactive Gain and Blend controls are primed for ‘bi-amped’-style tones with ease. Adding extra harmonics and variable levels of grit to the core bass tone. You can also switch them in remotely using the optional footswitch. There’s also a buffered effects loop, integrated tuner, AUX input, as well as a headphone output with CabSim circuitry.
Powerful Active Parametric EQ
What’s more, the Crush Bass 50 features an EQ circuit inspired by the prestigious 4 Stroke Series amplifiers. At its core is a parametric mid band presenting you with much more control over the sound than a traditional EQ. Allowing you to vary the frequencies you want to hear. The mid-band covers a wide range, sweeping from 300Hs (fully counter-clockwise) to 2.7kHz (fully clockwise). So the amp can be fine-tuned to suit any musical style. This active circuitry allows for up to 15dB of boost or cuts in the bass and middle frequencies. As well as up to 20dB on the treble side.
Blend & Gain
Taken straight from the popular OB1 Series amps, Blend, and Gain controls give a nod to the many bass players who use both guitar and bass simultaneously. With this ‘bi-amped’ setup, harmonics and distortion from the guitar’s amp are blended with the core bass tone to create the ultimate full-range live sound. The Crush Bass 50’s Gain and Blend controls create the same effect in a single package. Adding extra bite and crispness to the tone at lower gain settings right up to all-out filth. You can also engage these controls remotely using the optional FS-1 footswitch for fattening your tone on the fly.
Analog Design & Ported Cabinet
Delivering a fat, rounded sound thanks to an all-analog signal path. The Crush Bass 50 is home to a 12″ speaker as well as a reflex port for even further improved low-end response. While the buffered effects loop has been engineered for maximum transparency. Ensuring your arsenal of pedals will always perform at its peak.
Crush Bass 50 – CabSim Headphone Output, AUX Input, Chromatic Tuner
Finally, the headphone output on the Crush Bass 50 features CabSim Circuitry. Emulating the response of the stage-ready OBC Bass Speaker Cabinets during silent practice. You can also send this signal to a console for seriously authentic direct recording. While the Aux. Input allows you to connect your external audio sources for backing tracks. Just as the handy onboard tuner makes for quick tune-ups between jams.
