Nektar IMPACT GXP88
The Nektar Impact GXP88 brings you an 88-Key USB MIDI Keyboard that focuses on both players and performers. Sporting 88 semi-weighted keys, convenient performance controls, powerful Nektarine plugin patch management, and Nektar DAW Integration.
At the heart of the GXP88 is a brand new and carefully balanced keyboard action. Featuring 88 semi-weighted full-sized keys that give you velocity-sensitivity and aftertouch; so you can enjoy a nice firm touch with great playability. It doesn’t stop there though, the GXP88 gives keyboard players everything they need for live and studio work. Including pitch bend and modulation wheels, an expression pedal socket, as well as a 1/4″ TRS jack for connecting your footswitch pedals. What’s more, the rear panel also includes a 5-pin MIDI out jack with an external power supply socket you can use to power the unit when you don’t have access to USB power.
The GXP88 also boasts the streamlined no-fuss control panel you can find on the entire Nektar Impact GX series. Enabling advanced DAW integration with extended transport control, track selection, and volume control. As well as options to open and close DAW windows and navigate songs. There are also 14 assignable RGB buttons that allow for direct MIDI programming and bank selection,
Additionally, there’s a new Key Repeat engine that adds an intuitive real-time tool for creating inspiring rhythmic elements. This feature is directly controllable from GXPs illuminated RGB buttons and once it’s engaged; the buttons then allow for direct selection of Repeat Rates, Accent, Interval, Swing and routing aftertouch or modulation to velocity. Furthermore, when Repeat is active, the second encoder turns into a dedicated tempo control unless synchronization is set to external MIDI clock.

What’s more, when combined with Nektarine, the GXP88 allows you to load up to 16 VST or AU instrument-plugins for simultaneous use. Therefore, bringing instant patch recall to hybrid or software-based keyboard setups with direct patch control from the GXP88s RGB patch buttons. As well as the ability to define keyboard zones, layers and splits for all hosted plugins. You can also save all plugin settings and combinations in a single multi-patch for recall at a single touch.
Finally, the Impact GXP88 will work with any MIDI software on OSX, Windows, and iOS. As well as used as a standard MIDI controller for external gear straight out of the box.
