MOTU Ultralite MK5

The MOTU UltraLite MK5 18×22 USB Audio Interface includes renowned ESS Sabre32 DAC technology and the ES9026PRO DAC; delivering measured 125 dB dynamic range and -114 dB THD+N. While renowned drivers deliver rock-solid performance and industry-leading low latency.

Ultra-low latency

Featuring optimised drivers for both Mac and PC, the Ultralite MK5 delivers ultra-low latency performance. Using a high-performance DAW such as Digital Performer, you’ll enjoy an astonishing round trip latency (RTL) of 2.4ms (milliseconds) over USB (at 96 kHz with a 32-sample host buffer)

Built for studio and stage

What’s more, the Ultralite MK5 is housed in a compact, steel enclosure that you can take anywhere; the UltraLite MK5 is suited for both studio and stage. Connect all your personal studio gear for state-of-the-art computer-based recording, or take it to your next gig to mix live without the need for a computer.

40 Simultaneous Audio Channels

Whether you’re using it as an interface or a mixer, the UltraLite MK5 provides you with 18 inputs and 22 outputs for a total of 40 simultaneous, independent I/O channels. You’ll enjoy 2 mic/line/instrument inputs, 10 line outputs, headphone out, and 8-channel optical I/O. The optical ports alternatively support stereo TOSLink (optical S/PDIF).

All the I/O you need

Offering all the I/O you need to connect your audio gear; the UltraLite MK5 includes speakers, headphones, mics, guitars, synths, keyboards, drum machines, effect processors, and MIDI devices.

iOS compatibility

The UltraLite MK5 is USB audio class compliant so you’ll have plug-and-play compatibility with iPad and iOS devices. Therefore, you can record on-the-go, directly to your iPad, or play backing tracks during your gig thanks to the UltraLite MK5’s built-in mixing. With the CueMix 5 app on iOS, you’ve got everything you need for complete control.

Loopback

Providing convenient loopback channels to your computer or device, you can easily route computer output, along with a mix of live inputs from the UltraLite MK5 itself back to the computer. So you can record it straight back to your podcast software or live stream to the internet. With the UltraLite Mk5, streaming and podcasting have never been easier.

Mobile recording and mixing

After recording and mixing in the studio, take the UltraLite MK5 on the road with your laptop for mobile recording and live mixing.
