Bring more authority and control to the low end with the LD Systems MAUI 28 G3 SUB. Its powered 12-inch design, cardioid preset and automatic set-up detection make it a focused addition to a MAUI 28 G3 system. Meanwhile, DynX® DSP (Gen.2) technology is specified for distortion-free sound at maximum volume.
Shape the Low End
Firstly, use the cardioid preset to extend the column system’s cardioid characteristics into the bass range. Position the subwoofer next to the MAUI 28 G3 facing the rear direction. Also, low-end frequencies at the back are dampened by -15 dB while the front retains its punch. For extra bass, keep both units facing the same direction and switch off the preset.
Fast System Setup
Moreover, automatic set-up detection keeps the operating modes clear. When no column is attached, the subwoofer immediately switches to FOLLOWER mode. The powered design includes MAIN / FOLLOWER operation, two inputs, three outputs and a three-channel mixer with 3 band EQ (High, Mid, Low)
Built for Handling
Additionally, the enclosure combines a 15 mm birch multiplex cabinet with a polyurea coating and a shockproof aluminium front grille. Four ergonomic handles make handling easier, while convection cooling and protection features including a Multiband Limiter, Short circuit, Overheating and Direct current protection are built into the design.
Room-Filling Bass
The flow-optimised bass-reflex design and custom-designed woofer reach down to 37 Hz for deep bass extension. With 2060 W peak output power, 1030 W RMS output power and a maximum peak SPL of 127 dB, the MAUI 28 G3 SUB is suited to expanding the low end of a MAUI 28 G3 column setup.
