Korg MODWAVE

The Korg Modwave gives you a synthesis powerhouse with wavetable timbres, Kaoss Physics, and Motion Sequencing 2.0.

In 1985. Korg’s DW-8000 combined digital wavetables with rich analog filters, and it’s still a cult favourite today. Now, the Modwave builds on the legacy of the DW, transforming it into a monster modern synth. Boasting incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, gorgeous filters, wildly flexible modulation, unmatched polyphony, and immediately satisfying hands-on control. So you’re able to take advantage of unique, powerful, and easily customizable sounds and phrases.

Modwave also introduces two unique new tools for creating dynamic motion in Kaoss Physics and Motion Sequencing 2.0. Kaoss Physics combines an x/y Kaoss pad with modulatable game physics. Giving you a responsive, interactive controller that is powerful and super fun to explore.

Then you’ve got Motion Sequencing 2.0, bringing the continuously evolving patterns of the Wavestate’s wave sequencing into the world of motion sequencing. Including multiple lanes and real-time recording. So you can create complex and evolving phrases that other step sequencers cannot.

Just like Wave Sequencing 2.0 (Wavestate) and Altered FM (Opsix), the Modwave’s evolved wavetable synthesis delivers its own brand of completely unique sounds. As well as a knob-per-function layout that makes it super easy to customise sounds. To start with, there are hundreds of preset sounds empowered by the new architecture, organized by front-panel category buttons, and all instantly customizable.

The Modwave’s distinctive wavetable timbres start with aggressive basses and leads, as well as lush ambient pads to add new dimension to your tracks. But if you want to dig even deeper, the unique synth architecture will ensure you’re always finding new sounds!
