Faital Pro HF108R 16 Ohm (Ω), 1-Inch Compression Driver
The Faital Pro HF108R is a high-frequency compression driver built around a Ketone Polymer dome diaphragm. On top of that, an annular phase plug and neodymium ring magnet. Its 16 Ohm design, substantial power handling and 1-inch throat give speaker builders clear reference points. Specifically, when deciding on a compatible horn-loaded system.
Clear high-frequency construction
Firstly, the dome diaphragm uses Ketone Polymer. Meanwhile, the voice coil measures 44 mm and uses Al winding material with a Kapton former. Together, these details define the driver’s construction and give builders a clear basis for evaluating the high-frequency section of a speaker design.
Power and response for system design
Moreover, with 60 W AES power handling, 120 W maximum power handling and 109 dB sensitivity, the HF108R is specified for substantial acoustic output from applied power. Its frequency range is 1–20 kHz. The minimum crossover frequency is separately specified at 1.3 kHz.
Geometry that suits careful planning
The 25.4 mm (1 in) throat diameter and 31° conical exit angle establish the driver’s connection and geometry reference. The 76 mm mounting-hole pattern uses two M5 holes positioned 180° apart, while the 87 mm overall diameter and 41 mm depth help with physical layout.
Compact magnetic assembly
A neodymium ring magnet and 2.1 T flux density form the magnetic section, with a net weight of 800 g. The driver’s net air volume is 0.195 dm^3 (0.007 ft^3), giving enclosure designers a defined figure to retain in their system calculations.
