Each model features a patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) ported waveguide. This design extends low-frequency response and ensures even coverage across all frequencies, both vertically and horizontally. Despite its compact form, ZLX G2 delivers a punchy, full sound worthy of the Electro-Voice name.
Passive ZLX G2 models include standard NL4 connectors, wired in parallel to pass through all pins. For the best results, pair the ZLX G2 with a Dynacord DSP power amplifier using the proper EV Speaker Database settings in SONICUE Sound System Software.
Form And Function Redefined
Electro-Voice designed the ZLX G2 enclosure for strength, comfort, and versatility. The rugged polypropylene body now includes a reinforced “spine” and an embossed Electro-Voice logo.
The symmetrical 55° sides create a steeper projection angle when used as a floor monitor. Thus, making it easier for performers to hear themselves. This layout also improves access to the amplifier input panel. A built-in “kick-back” angle lets the 12” and 15” models project upward at 23°, while the new stance keeps the cabinet level when mounted directly on a subwoofer without a pole.
Electro-Voice offers multiple mounting options. A “U” style wall bracket allows vertical or horizontal installation for 12” and 15” models. A long-arm pole-mount bracket adds tilt adjustment, while a short-arm version fits the 8” model. Protective slipcovers are available for all sizes.
