From Gentle Sustain to Smashed Compression
The optical compressor covers a broad range of response, moving from light sustain to utterly smashed with the turn of the Compression control. That makes it useful for chicken-pickin’, added sustain for leads, or snappy-slappy funk rhythm, whether you want a controlled lift or a more obvious effect.
Keep Your Highs Intact
Unlike faster non-optical circuits, this design retains high frequencies until you reach the more extreme settings. Your compressed tone can therefore stay more open and recognisable as you increase the effect, giving the Level control a clear role in balancing the pedal’s output for your playing setup.
Compression with a Practical Boost
The available output level is enough to use the pedal as a lead boost with added compressor sustain. A modern power jack, LED power indicator and footswitch keep everyday operation simple, while the LED makes it clear when the effect is on.
