Chamsys MagicQ MQ70 Compact Console
The Chamsys MagicQ MQ70 combines 24 universes, direct DMX and network connectivity, and a built-in UPS. Its compact console format, touchscreen control and silent operation suit touring shows, broadcast, theatrical and corporate work.
Control That Travels
Firstly, the console fits within the carry-on restrictions stated for all major budget airlines, including Southwest, Easyjet and Ryanair; airline allowances can change, so check current requirements before travelling. The 525mm-wide console weighs 7kg, keeping the control surface compact for production work where space and portability matter.
Touch Control, Ready at a Glance
A high-resolution 10.1″ multi-touch display puts MagicQ control within easy reach, while illuminated encoders and dual-colour illuminated playbacks keep key controls visible. Ten playbacks, eight attribute encoders, one Grand Master Fader and one Crossfade Master Fader give operators a clearly defined hands-on layout.
Connect Lighting and Show Systems
Three network ports send ArtNet and sACN directly from the console, while four assignable physical DMX outputs support RDM. Built-in WiFi enables a quick connection to the MagicQ Remote App without external networking hardware. MIDI input and output, LTC timecode input and audio input add further synchronisation options for show-control and audio systems.
Quiet, Protected Operation
The inbuilt UPS uses a 12v Lead-Acid Battery and protects the console and Ethernet switch in case of power failure. With maximum mains power consumption of 35w and no cooling fan, the MQ70 operates silently, making it well suited to theatres and other environments where fan noise needs to stay out of the room.
