MagicDMX Basic is aimed at people evaluating and learning MagicQ, technicians testing fixtures, and students learning lighting in schools and colleges. Its single DMX output lets you work with actual moving lights. All while building practical programming experience in the free MagicQ software.
Simple Connection to DMX Hardware
A USB-C connector links the interface with your computer, while the 3-pin female XLR provides the DMX output. That keeps the connection path easy to understand when you are setting up a practice system, checking a fixture or demonstrating MagicQ control with physical lighting equipment.
Clear Status, Protected Hardware
An LED status indicator gives you a quick visual reference while using the interface. Basic electrical protection adds protection for the unit, and the compact enclosure measures 135mm wide, 93mm deep and 38mm high for straightforward placement in a learning or testing setup.
Five-Hour Session Operation
MagicDMX Basic is limited to five hours of continuous usage per session. After five hours, replug the device and restart the MagicQ software to enable another maximum five-hour session. A soft shell carry case is included, making it easier to keep the interface together between lighting sessions.
