Chamsys GN4IP GeNetix 4-Port IP DMX Node
The Chamsys GeNetix GN4IP is a compact, rugged way to distribute network lighting data to DMX fixtures. Its four RDM DMX ports can be assigned as inputs or outputs. Meanwhile, Art-Net and sACN support, IP65 protection, and flexible PoE or mains power suit demanding rigging and installation work.
Flexible DMX Distribution
Firstly, four RDM DMX ports support both input and output. So, the node can be arranged around the connections your lighting system requires. A single network port carries the network data. On the other hand, port status LEDs make it easier to check the node’s connection activity during setup and operation.
Network Control and Protocols
Moreover, GeNetix GN4IP supports Art-Net V1, 2, 3 and 4, sACN with priorities on a per-universe basis, and RDM. Configuration is available through the built-in Webserver, Art-Net, or a ChamSys Console, with ChamNet support and configurable DMX timings adding further control over the node’s operation.
Rugged Rigging-Ready Design
With an IP65 rating, the node is suited to a wide range of rigging and installation applications. Its M12 threaded insert supports clamp mounting, while the built-in rail provides a fixing point for a secondary safety bond when rigged. The PowerCon True1 Top mains input and PoE support offer two power methods.
Redundancy and Scene Control
DMX Fallback allows fixtures on one universe to be connected in a loop to two node ports, so they can still receive DMX if a cable breaks in the loop. Merging is configurable per port, and the node can store 10 scenes recorded from incoming Art-Net or sACN data.
Key Features
- Assign four RDM DMX ports as inputs or outputs for flexible distribution.
- Use Art-Net and sACN network protocols with remote Webserver configuration.
- Choose PoE or PowerCon True1 Top mains power.
- Use DMX Fallback for redundancy in a looped single-universe setup.
- Mount with the M12 threaded insert and secure a secondary safety bond using the built-in rail.
