Boss CE-5
The Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble from BOSS is a compact chorus pedal that covers a wide frequency range and features high- and low-cut filters. This allows you to create a vast array of chorus effects, from; mild, natural chorus, to clear and penetrating stereo chorus effects.
Both guitarists and keyboardists will appreciate this ultra-high quality compact chorus pedal. The CE-5 features both High and Low-cut filters that allow for shaping the tonality of the chorus effect. It further offers Effect Level, Rate, Depth and Filter knobs for complete control of your sound. The CE-5 includes a Mono input and Stereo outputs that allow for connecting dual amps or for studio use. With subtle to extreme chorusing effects, musicians just love using the CE-5.
Additional Control
The CE-5 features two band filters that allow individual control of the bass and treble frequencies. By using two-band filters, you can create various chorus effects, such as a chorus with a narrow frequency band, or a sharp chorus stretched to the upper-frequency range. Because cutting the lower frequency range uses the Low Filter Control Knob, you can obtain a natural chorus effect with minimal sound interference between the direct signals and the processed signals. Two-channel output jacks serve for creating deep chorus effects with the dimensional space chorus system.
Physical Knob Controls
Musicians are presented with intuitive and powerful control over the chorus effects on the CE-5. The E.LEVEL knob adjusts the level of the effect sounds. Clockwise rotation will increase the level of the effect sound and counterclockwise rotation will decrease it. The RATE knob adjusts the speed of the chorus effect. Clockwise rotation increases the rate as counterclockwise rotation decreases it. The DEPTH knob controls the depth of the chorus effect. Clockwise rotation deepens the effect while counterclockwise rotation creates the shallower effect.
The CE-5 also features both a HIGH FILTER and LOW FILTER knob. The HIGH FILTER knob controls the treble frequencies of the chorus sound. Rotating this knob clockwise widens the output band while rotating it counterclockwise narrows it. The LOW FILTER knob controls the bass frequencies of the chorus sound. Rotating this knob clockwise widens the output while rotating it counterclockwise narrows it.
