Behringer SWING
The Behringer SWING gives you complete control over any synthesizer or virtual instrument in your DAW via USB or MIDI. Sporting a 64-step sequencer with an 8-note polyphonic sequence, as well as 32 compact-sized keys, pitch, and modulation touch-strips. So you have everything you need to express yourself in a compact and portable package.
Thanks to the 32 compact-sized keys, the Swing offers the perfect balance between size and playability. Giving you the ability to create even more nuanced sounds thanks to velocity and after-touch functionality. While the Pitch and Modulation touch strips allow you to add even more character to your productions. The Swing also features Chord Play Mode which allows you to play chords with up to 16 notes in a single key. Not to mention the 64 step sequencer allows you to create any progression imaginable. Alternatively, switch to Arpeggiator mode and create an amazing string of notes that will sync to the clock of any device connected.
Controls
The Style/Pattern knob on the Swing allows you to select up to 8 saved programs in Sequencer style/pattern. While Arpeggiator style allows you to choose different playing orders such as up, down, inclusive, exclusive, random, note order, double up and double down styles. Select from 8 different time signatures using the Scale knob and adjust the tempo using the Tempo knob or Tap button. You’ve got the Record button to start recording but it also doubles as an Append button when you hold down shift. Combined with the Stop/Clear button you’re able to edit your sequences and arpeggios on the fly.
Connectivity
When it comes to connectivity, the SWING can connect to your DAW via USB. While you can connect to a polyphonic synth via MIDI and a Eurorack synth via CV/Gate. There’s also a Sustain input if you ever need to connect an external footswitch.
