The Behringer Brains Multi-Engine Oscillator is a Module for the Eurorack. It offers you an amazing versatility of sounds for percussions, leads, drones, and soundscapes. It features 96 kHz Sound Quality and provides you with an OLED Oscilloscope so you can monitor the soundwaves.

With a choice of 20 digital oscillator modes, Brains will provide you with a wealth of different sounds and timbres with many different control engines. You can use it as a powerful solution for your chords; harmonic oscillation; particle noise; analog drums; snare; hi-hat and even speech. Furthermore, it is an amazingly versatile digital sound source for creating percussion sounds, leads and basses, as well as drones and soundscapes.
Four Knobs for Everything
To add character using Brains; select an active synth mode and turn the controls until you have reached the desired sound. You can then affect the Timbre, Harmonics, Frequency, and Morph parameters with the 4x dedicated knobs.
Powerful Sound Engines
The Behringer Brains module offers 10x Synth engines which include Virtual Analog, Waveshaper, FM, Grains, Additive, Chords, Speech, Karplus, Hypersaw, and Wavetable. It also boasts 10x percussion and noise engines that include Rain, Noise, Dust, Modal Strings, FM Drum, Bass, Snare, Hi-Hat, Cowbell, and Toms. It will help you generate dark pulsating beats, bright and spicy tones, ripping leads, lush chords or ethereal pads so you can breathe life into your music.
Visible Wavelengths
Also featured on the Brains is an OLED Oscilloscope that allows you to visualise the waveform. This is a fantastic feature as you have direct feedback of the soundwave when manipulating the sound.
Connectivity
The Brains module is designed to work along with other modules inside the Eurorack. It provides you with two sets of3.5 mm TS jack, DC-coupled Outputs with an Impedance of 1x Ohm and Max output level of 6.2 V. Also present is a Model CV Input and a V/oct Input with both inputs using a 3.5 mm TS jack, DC to 2 kHz. Additional inputs comprise of a Level Input and Trig Input that both use a 3.5 mm TS jack, DC to 2 kHz. The Brains module also has a USB 2.0, type B connection where you can update the firmware.
