Behringer B205D Eurolive 150W 5″ Portable Active PA Speaker and Personal Monitor
The Behringer B205D is an ultra-compact personal active PA Speaker and powered stage monitor. It suits solo performers, vocalists, keyboard players, presenters and small-format DJs. Its three-channel mixer connects microphones, an instrument and a stereo source, so you can perform without carrying a separate mixer. Meanwhile, the 5.25-inch full-range driver produces clear sound for close-range monitoring and intimate performances.
Compact Personal Monitoring for Performers
The Class-D amplifier delivers 125W RMS and 150W peak output from a compact 3.2kg cabinet. Set the wedge-shaped speaker on the floor, a table or another stable surface. Its angled shape directs sound upwards towards the performer. Alternatively, the mounting system attaches the B205D to a suitable microphone stand for monitoring closer to ear level.
Front-panel controls keep the channel levels, main volume and EQ settings within easy reach. In addition, the built-in carry handle makes the speaker easy to transport between rehearsals, performances and presentations.
Connect Microphones, Instruments and Backing Tracks
Two XLR/TRS combo inputs accept microphone and line-level signals. Switchable phantom power supports suitable condenser microphones. One channel also accepts a high-impedance instrument signal, letting you connect a guitar without a separate DI box.
The stereo RCA input connects a keyboard, backing-track player or other line-level audio source. Individual level controls help you balance each source. Meanwhile, the three-band EQ adjusts the overall bass, midrange and treble.
Link Additional Powered Speakers
The balanced XLR thru output sends the mix to another B205D or suitable powered speaker. Its mic/line switch helps match the output to the connected equipment. As a result, you can add another monitor or extend coverage across a small room.
Made for Small Performances, Rehearsals and Presentations
The B205D works well as a personal monitor for singer-songwriters, keyboard players, vocalists and DJs. It can also reinforce speech during lessons, meetings, conferences and presentations. Furthermore, the built-in limiter helps protect the amplifier and driver when output levels rise. The tough outer cabinet handles regular transport and setup.
However, the B205D runs on mains power and does not offer Bluetooth or battery operation. Its compact driver works best with vocals, instruments, speech and close-range monitoring. Choose a larger PA system for bass-heavy music, large audiences or primary DJ sound reinforcement.
