Behringer 69 Vibe Chorus & Vibrato Guitar Pedal
In the quest to replicate the sound of a Leslie rotating speaker, the original Shin-Ei Uni-Vibe from Japan ended up introducing a wholly unique effect that made it synonymous with late 60s rock.
The signature warble and undulation surrounding an overdriven guitar tone became the signature sound of the legendary Jimi Hendrix in hits such as Foxy Lady, Purple Haze and Machine Gun. That sound could eventually be heard in Pink Floyd’s Breathe and Pearl Jam’s Black. The Behringer 69 VIBE is chock full of soul. It aims to bring that same, authentic syrupy sound onto your pedal board without breaking the bank!
Chorus, Vibrato? You Decide.
Just like the original, 69 VIBE allows you to toggle between Chorus or Vibrato mode. Do so with a simple footswitch, making it super easy to change modes, especially during live play. Choose between the classic Chorus mode, for some classic Hendrix vibes or Vibrato that bends your pitch up or down giving your sound a bit of movement and a pulsating effect.
Depth and rate for both effects are controlled by the Speed and Intensity knobs.
Amazing Flexibility
Having the 69 VIBE is like having a piece of music history at your feet. Also, it runs on standard 9 V DC power which makes integrating into your setup a total breeze. Its rugged and reliable metal construction stands up to the rigors of the road and the heaviest of stomps.
Our Favorite Ways to Play
69 VIBE works great just by itself but, we’re positive it isn’t the only pedal you’ll have. Try out these great ways you can set 69 VIBE up in your pedalboard:
- First in the chain going into a fuzz like the Behringer FUZZ BENDER
- After a fuzz into an overdriven amp! This is the classic Hendrix set up.
- After your overdrives or distortions
Any of these setups are going to give you great results. Just keep playing around and see how you like it!
