Behringer 2600-VCO Analog Module
The Behringer 2600-VCO is an analog VCO module for Eurorack. It is an authentic reproduction of the original ARP 2600 circuitry that can fit in a standard Eurorack case. The 2600-VCO is a feature-rich module with four simultaneous waveforms comprising of sine, triangle, saw and pulse. This allows for an awe-inspiring palette of tonal possibilities and it will fit with your existing rig or you start your modular synth journey from here.
Mix It Up
The 2600-VCO allows you to control the oscillator’s frequency which ranges from 10 Hz to 10 kHz. It further offers oscillator frequencies from 0.03 Hz to 30 Hz when switched to LF mode. You can even tune the VCO to other instruments or VCOs with the Fine Tune knob. It’s also possible to adjust the pulse width range anywhere from 10% to 90%. This means that you will be ready to rock whether you’re in a band or integrating the 2600-VCO into your monstrous setup.
It also comes with an array of FM and CV inputs. Each FM input comes with its own attenuator to control the level of modulation. If you want to control or modulate the Pulse waveform you can use the separate PWM input. The 2600-VCO even accepts control voltages from a keyboard or MIDI/CV converter which you can turn on or off with the Keyboard On/Off switch, which also switches the VCO to low frequency mode.
2600-VCO Powerful Features
The Behringer 2600-VCO is a feature-rich module and offers powerful features and flexibility. The INITIAL OSCILLATOR FREQUENCY allows you to select the initial frequency of the VCO. In AUDIO MODE the range is 10 Hz to 10 kHz. In Low-Frequency mode (LF) the range is 0.03 Hz to 30 Hz. The FINE TUNE knob gives you the ability to tune other VCOs or instruments. The control has a range of ±0.4 octaves. Finally, the PULSE WIDTH will allow for manual control over the width of the pulse waveform and has a range between 10% and 90%.
Input Outputs
Also, presents are 4x separate OUTPUTS on the 2600-VCO. Here the sine, triangle, sawtooth and pulse waveforms are all available simultaneously. These OUTPUTS use 4 x 3.5 mm TS jacks, DC-coupled.
There are also several INPUT types available on the 2600-VCO. The KEYBOARD CV INPUT will accept control voltages from a keyboard or MIDI/CV converter in the range 0 V – 10 V. This 3.5 mm TS jack (DC-coupled) input has an unbalanced Impedance of 100 kΩ. ALL FM1/FM2/FM3 CV INPUTS AND LEVELS allow you to input for frequency modulation of the VCO plus attenuators to control the level of modulation. These 3x 3.5 mm TS jack (DC-coupled) inputs have an unbalanced Impedance of 50 kΩ.
Also present is the PWM (PULSE WIDTH MODULATION) INPUT AND LEVEL. It allows you to input an external source of modulation of the width of the pulse waveform plus an attenuator to control the level of modulation. This 3.5 mm TS jack, (DC-coupled) input has an unbalanced Impedance of 75 kΩ. Lastly, the KEYBOARD ON/OFF SWITCH allows the keyboard voltage to be switched off which puts the VCO into a Low-Frequency mode.
DJ City also offers a wide range of additional Eurorack Modules that can be combined with the 2600-VCO Analog Module.
