The Shure Motiv MV88+ is a Stereo USB Microphone in Black. This multipurpose digital stereo condenser microphone covers all your recording needs from drums to vocals and everything in between. You can select from multiple pick-up patterns and adjust microphone settings to suit any recording scenario; by using the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop App.
With the MOTIV Desktop App, the MV88+ essentially becomes a versatile swiss army knife microphone. The App offers 5x DSP Preset Modes, Selectable Polar Patterns, Customisable five-band EQ, compression, and limiting. The app is compatible with both macOS and Windows users.
Customize The Mic To Suit Your Every Need
The MV88+ offers recording musicians a simple and quick to set-up microphone so you can capture your inspirations effortlessly. You can now record vocals, drums, bass, synths, guitars or any instrument in both mono and stereo. Furthermore, when used in combination with the ShurePlus MOTIV Desktop App; the MV88+ will become a versatile workhorse in your studio. You can select from various pick-up patterns such as Mono, Stereo, Bi-Directional and Raw Mid-Side. Here you can also adjust the Stereo Width, Mono Bidirectional, Mono Cardioid and Mid-Side settings.
You can further adjust parameters such as Gain, Limiter, Compression, EQ and Monitor Mix all from the free app. For quick setups on the go, you can choose from 5x DSP Modes. These DSP presets include settings for Speech, Singing, Flat, Acoustic Instrument and Loud. The Motiv MV88+ offers sampling rates of 44.1kHz and 48kHz with bit depths of 16-bit and 24-bit. It will provide you with a Frequency Response between 20Hz to 20kHz.
You can even monitor your sound and be confident that your recording is perfect at all times. This is achieved by using the built-in headphone output on the microphone for real-time monitoring.
Included accessories
The MV88+ ships with a Foam Windscreen which is an essential accessory for controlling vocal plosives. This is a portable microphone and the windscreen can also help to preserve audio quality outdoors during the wind. For very windy days the ideal solution is the (Rycote Windjammer for MV88 – AMV88-FUR) which is sold separately. Further included is a 5/8″ Swivel Mic Clip and a 3/8″ Euro Thread Adapter so you can mount the Motiv MV88+ onto a Microphone Stand. Both USB-A Cable(10ft) and a USB-C Cable(10ft) have also been included; with a very practical Zipper Carry Case for convenient storage.
