RME ADI-2 FS
The RME ADI-2 FS gives you a compact and flexible 2-channel AD/DA Converter that offers first-class conversion. Housed in a small 9.5″ unit, the ADI-2 FS offers first-class conversion from/to SPDIF, AES, and ADAT; at up to 192kHz.
Packed with Features
Offering pro-class sound, the RME ADI-2 FS is a universal tool and flexible problem solver. While also qualifying as an extension for other premium converters. Thanks to its balanced analog I/O; monitoring via headphone output; SteadyClock FS; 3-stage hardware input and output level control; and additional modes D-D and A-A.
Equipped with two servo-balanced analog line inputs via XLR/phone combo jacks. The AD-2 FS allows you to simultaneously use balanced XLR and unbalanced phone jacks. While there’s also an adjustable High Power headphone output on the front, as well as an ADAT compatible optical SPDIF I/O, and a coaxial SPDIF I/O. Giving you the most flexible and uncompromised signal transmission.
What’s more, the analog inputs of the RME ADI-2 FS use the advanced circuit design of the highly acclaimed ADI-2 Pro. As a result, you’ll enjoy outstandingly low noise and distortion as well as extended frequency response. With 3 different settings for input and output levels that provide the perfect compatibility in the analog domain. Furthermore, SteadyClock FS features the latest in clock technology, ensuring maximum jitter suppression and lowest self-jitter. Guaranteeing superb sound quality that’s completely independent of the quality of the current reference clock.
Finally, the RME ADI-2 FS also provides exciting digital connectivity. Its coaxial RCA SPDIF I/O has a switchable Channel Status to make it fully AES/EBU compatible (cable adapter required). While the optical TOSLINK I/Os can handle up to 192 kHz and also serve as ADAT I/O, even at 192 kHz. An operation with SPDIF input and ADAT output or vice versa is supported, in both AD/DA and D-D mode
