Higher Rail Voltage, Higher Headroom
Given the fact that most battery-powered guitars and basses produce up to 7 volts at maximum volume. It’s typical for them to easily overload your average Direct Box that can only handle about 3 Volts. With the J48, Radial uses a unique switching power supply that raises the internal rail voltage. Allowing it to handle up to an incredible 9 Volts of power, so you’re getting improved signal handling and greater headroom.
Having the additional headroom means distortion of all types is significantly reduced. Allowing the natural tone and character of your instrument to shine through.
