Party Speakers

Turn up the fun with DJ City’s range of party speakers. Also known as party boxes or boomboxes, these party PA speakers come with colourful RGB LED lights to add dynamic lighting to a party, and nowadays, Bluetooth and portability have become standard, making it easy to stream your favourite music and keep the energy going. Whether you’re hosting a birthday, backyard barbecue, karaoke night or house party, DJ City has a party speaker for you.

What makes a party speaker different from a PA speaker?

Unlike a standard, general-purpose PA speaker that's ready for professional use, a party speaker is built specifically for consumer-grade use cases, like house parties, birthdays, karaoke nights, backyard barbecues and events. They also typically come with built-in party RGB LED lights that bring the music, lights and entertainment together in one seriously fun sound system! DJ City stocks from brands including Fenton and Vonyx, with options ranging from compact boombox-style speakers to larger party boxes.

RGB LED Lights and Microphones

Looking for a speaker with colourful LED effects? Many party box models feature RGB light shows that react to the music you play. You’ll also find microphone inputs, adjustable echo and individual volume controls on selected models if you need to emcee or start a karaoke sing-a-long. If karaoke is the main event, compare our complete karaoke systems.

Bluetooth, Battery Power and Portable Designs

A portable speaker usually includes a rechargeable battery, carry handle or wheels, making it convenient to move between rooms or take from party to party. Many models nowadays offer Bluetooth audio streaming as the standard, as well as USB and SD card playback or FM radio for more ways to play music. Explore our dedicated Bluetooth party speakers if wireless streaming is one of your priorities.

Choosing the Right Party Speaker

Compare woofer size, stated RMS power, maximum output, battery runtime and available connections before choosing. A larger cabinet may provide stronger bass and more coverage, while a compact party box is easier to carry and store. Some models also support TWS pairing, allowing two compatible speakers to play together wirelessly for wider coverage.
