Powerful Sound Engine
Boasting the same powerful sound engine as the standard PRO 3, the special edition ensures you can get the most out of its massive functionality. Including 3 oscillators, 3 vintage filters, 3 LFOs, 4 loopable envelopes, 32-slot mod matrix, and a 16 x 16 x 4 sequencer. What’s more, add in the dual digital effects and four control voltage ins and outs and you’ve got an extremely powerful synthesizer!
Combining old-school analog synthesis with modern digital technology; the PRO-3 SE is a force to be reckoned with. It’s two VCOs provide warmth and presence while the wavetable oscillator gives you that digital edge and grit. Vintage-Style Filters
Lying at the heart of the PRO 3 SE is a set of vintage-style filters. The first is a 4-pole low-pass design based on the renowned Prophet-6. Then, Filter 2 is a classic transistor ladder filter offering resonance compensation that preserves is low end. Finally, Filter 3 gives you a classic 2-pole, a state-variable design that’s based on the OB-6. Continuously varied between low-pass, notch, and high-pass operation, with an optional band-pass mode. There’s also an additional Drive control that gives you even more punch when you need it most!
Sequencer
One of the most powerful features onboard the PRO 3 SE is its sequencer. Offering 16 tracks, 16 steps, and 4 phrases; you get both real-time and step input; ratcheting; variable gate and sequence lengths; multiple playback modes; and paraphonic operation. While it also syncs to MIDI clock and external audio input, and inputs/outputs control voltages. Finally, the sequence tracks can control any parameter in the 171-destination modulation matrix.
Packed with Effects
What’s more, the Sequential PRO 3 SE boasts an effects section that’s rampant with delays, reverbs and time-domain effects. Including chorus, phasing, flanging and more. There are also four loopable five-stage envelope generators, three sync-able LFOs, an arpeggiator, and a 32-slot modulation matrix.
