sE Electronics SE2200 Vintage
The sE Electronics SE2200 Vintage Edition gives you a limited edition colour of the award-winning cardioid condenser microphone. Delivering smooth and polished sounds, the SE2200 is perfect for vocals, voiceovers, as well as numerous instrumental applications. Made famous by world-class vocalists like Amy Winehouse, the SE2200 Vintage revives the spirit of classic studio microphones. While still remaining a standard in mic lockers around the world.
Handcrafted 1″ Truce Condenser Capsule
Although the SE2200 Vintage is a cardioid-only microphone, you’ll still find two (rather than one) gold-sputtered diaphragms to ensure the best possible acoustic performance. What’s more, each capsule is hand-crafted and individually tuned in the sE Electronics factory. But unlike other microphones with a backplate or electret design; the SE2200 Vintage has a true externally polarized condenser capsule. Therefore delivering the best possible performance in every aspect.
SE2200 Vintage – Traditional Class-A Electronic Design
With carefully selected, discrete components, the SE2200 Vintage ensures brilliant sound quality on any source. Still avoiding the use of integrated circuits, SE2200 Vintage is built to excel. You’ll enjoy low noise, consistent performance, and high-sensitivity thanks to state-of-the-art surface-mounted electronic components with extremely tight tolerances.
Two Switchable Attenuation Levels & Low-Cut Filters
The -10 dB and -20 dB pad switches provide extended dynamic range, enabling a wide variety of applications and close-mic techniques for even the loudest instruments…think super-heavy electric guitars, fortissimo brass instruments, and heavy-footed kick drums. Selectable at either 80Hz or 160Hz, the two low-cut filters help eliminate low-frequency rumble or footfall noise, as well as help compensate for excessive bass (proximity effect) with close-mic techniques.
Custom-Built Output Transformer
Reviving the spirit of classic studio microphones, the sE2200 Vintage’s custom transformer provides superb depth & weight to the overall sonic image, and the massively shielded metal housing ensures noise-free operation.
