Roland NVISION n/vision Wavetable Synthesizer

The Roland NVISION n/vision brings wavetable synthesis into a compact Roland Boutique instrument built for hands-on sound creation. Shape two independent wavetable layers, animate them with modulation. Then add filtering, effects, sequencing and arpeggiation for evolving pads, aggressive leads, basslines and complex textures.

Build Moving, Harmonic Sounds

Wavetable synthesis uses sequences of single-cycle digital waveforms that can be scanned to create changing timbres. Here, two wavetable layers can be blended and shaped independently across upper and lower parts. Meanwhile, oscillator modulation, wavetable position control and the wave shaper add movement and harmonic variation.

Shape the Tone Your Way

Moreover, vintage-inspired filter models sit alongside modern analog-style filtering, giving sound design a broad tonal range. The MFX engine includes 17 effect types, while dedicated delay and reverb add space and character. Five reverb types include a shimmer mode with octave-shifted colour for more distinctive ambience.

Compose Patterns Without a Computer

The two-part polyphonic sequencer offers 64 steps and up to eight notes per part, with motion recording for evolving sequences. An arpeggio function adds dynamic rhythmic movement, while the front-panel controls make immediate edits easy before deeper menu-driven tools take over for detailed programming.

Compact Setup, Flexible Connections

With a built-in speaker and included K-25m keyboard dock, the n/vision can work as a standalone mini-instrument for desktop setups, travel and mobile rigs. USB-C provides audio and MIDI connectivity with a computer, while traditional MIDI I/O and external clock input connect it with hardware-based setups.
