RODE VideoMic NTG Shotgun Microphone

The RODE VideoMic NTG is a broadcast-grade, feature-packed shotgun microphone. Optimized for on-camera use, the VideoMic NTG features the same revolutionary acoustic design as the NTG5 broadcast shotgun mic. Delivering unmatched transparency and a natural, uncolored sound. As well as incredibly flat frequency response, highly-directional super-cardioid polar pattern, and very low self-noise. As a result, you’ve got a compact on-camera microphone that rivals the world’s best shotgun mics.

Not only does it sound outstanding, but the VideoMic NTG is a shotgun microphone that’s extremely flexible. Complete with an array of tools and features so you can take on any recording situation. Digital switching gives you access to a high-pass filter, -20dB pad, high-frequency boost, and safety channel. Additionally, you’ll find a unique infinitely variable gain control on your Rode VideoMic NTG Shotgun Microphone; allowing you to precisely tailor the output as you need.

Whether you’re using a camera or mobile, the auto-sensing 3.5mm output detects which device your VideoMic NTG is connected to. Then, it switches to accommodate for that; so there’s no need for annoying adaptor cables! Another handy feature on the VideoMic NTG is the new dB peak warning light. So you can take control of your audio and ensure you’re never clipping.

So much more than a camera microphone; the Rode VideoMic NTG is a shotgun microphone that pairs perfectly with your DSLR, Mirrorless Camera, or Smartphone. Whether your setup calls for it on-camera, as a boom mic, or on a pistol grip. On top of that, it’s also a fully-functional USB Microphone. So you can plug it into your computer, tablet or smartphone. While the 3.5mm jack also doubles as a headphone output; so you can enjoy seamless monitoring of your audio when using the USB output.
