Power Dynamics PDY218S 18-Inch Passive PA Subwoofer 1000W
The Power Dynamics PDY218S is an 18-inch passive PA subwoofer for DJs, venues and entertainment spaces that need stronger low-end support. It delivers 1000W max power and 500W RMS handling, with an 8 Ohm impedance for use with a suitable external amplifier.
Because this is a passive subwoofer, it does not include a built-in amplifier, internal filter or crossover. For correct operation, use it with an external crossover, DSP or speaker management system.
Built for PA Bass Reinforcement
The PDY218S is designed for short to medium-distance sound reinforcement in clubs, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, sports facilities and entertainment venues. Its 18-inch ferrite woofer, 3-inch voice coil, and 30Hz to 180Hz frequency response help extend the low-frequency range of a PA system, such as the Power Dynamics PDY215 Passive Speaker.
NL4 input and output connections support professional speaker cabling, while the speaker pole mount allows a compatible top speaker to be stacked above the sub.
Road-Ready Cabinet Design
The MDF cabinet features an extra hard coating for regular transport, setup and pack-down. Recessed handles make the 34.3kg cabinet easier to position and move. Supplied per piece, the PDY218S can be used as a single passive subwoofer or paired with another unit for larger PA systems.
