M-Audio AIR 192|8 USB Audio Interface
The M-Audio AIR 192|8 is a flexible USB audio interface for recording microphones, line sources, instruments, and MIDI gear. It records up to two channels at once, combines Crystal™ preamps with A/D converters. It also gives you practical control over monitoring, outputs, and headphone listening in the studio.
Capture Two Sources at Once
Two XLR+¼” TRS combo inputs include a switchable -10dB mic pad, while two dedicated ¼” instrument inputs use a gain and impedance stage designed for direct guitar or bass connection. Use two TRS inputs, two instrument inputs, or one of each to suit the session.
Keep Monitoring in Your Hands
The USB/Direct knob balances the input signal against the computer signal, while monitor mix control lets you hear source inputs directly. Independent headphone level and source controls provide access to the 1/2 or 3/4 audio stream, useful for cue, sub, or main mix listening.
Connect Your Studio Setup
Two balanced ¼” main outputs and four RCA outputs give you options for studio monitors, DJ mixers, or outboard gear. The Direct Mono/Stereo switch and two assignable auxiliary outputs add further routing choices, while MIDI In and Out connect synths, sequencers, and external MIDI gear.
Stay Focused on Levels and Detail
VU LED meters make level setting easier to read, and the large central control provides straightforward volume adjustment. A rugged metal chassis suits regular studio use, while the included Ableton Live Lite, MPC Beats, effects plug-ins, virtual instruments, and loops give you software to start creating.
